Construction Management Services
Prior to selecting a site, VSM actively performs extensive analysis and evaluation based on a client’s personalized weighted criteria. After a location is chosen, our construction management services include development plan review, stormwater study review, review of cost estimates for construction and preparation and presentation of information for public meetings. VSM will prepare, let and administer construction bids and manage the contractor prior to reviewing the construction plans for the owner. After construction is complete, we will perform inspection and/or manage staff in the inspection of construction infrastructure.
A necessary part of development, VSM Engineering has worked for contractors, engineers, developers and architects to provide Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans for varying types of projects. Our on-site staff is QCIS, QPSWPPP certified and adept at addressing erosion and sediment controls and stormwater management activities associated with site development. In addition to plan preparation, audits and training, VSM is qualified to inspect and maintain construction sites for stormwater compliance.
Delivered Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) VSM worked as part of the team that provided project site design including water, stormwater, sanitary sewer and surface parking for this 18,500-seat, 650,000 SF arena complex. VSM designed the 12-in and 8-in combination fire and domestic water line to serve the Sprint Arena and adjacent NABC building. The project included a large meter vault and meter assembly including backflow prevention.
In addition to completing the QC Review for grading and drainage of the 6 acre site, VSM created a separate plan set for mass excavation for the arena building structure and construction specifications for the project.
